To begin with, I just want spell this out. I DON'T WANT TO PISS ANYONE OFF. Even this needs a bit of clarity. (Sorry that this rambles on a bit, I've been typing it up at work in stages, LV = Lord Valimar) As far as I can see, given the infrequency of some people / timezones etc, etc, LV couldn't discuss his idea of a switch over with everyone else, simply because they weren't there at the time. This means we now have to "sell" the change-over with everyone individually, and in their terms.i.e. What is in it for them, show them that Guild leaders will not treat them as just cattle (which might be difficult at the moment), and show that LV had their best interests at heart in terms of size of Guild etc rather than a quick buck, AND also respect their own decisions at the end of the day. I'm just playing for fun, but I will understand that in online games other people's enjoyment is also equally important, and all we will get is resentment if they feel that they are just pawns in someone else's business deals, without any control for themself - given the handing out of this guild's leadership recently ( before it got to LV and me - I'm not dissing LV, he's trusted me with what is/was previously his guild) The way to sort out this tangle? I'm not sure. The basic plan is a good one. Strength in numbers: More people in one guild is certainly makes more sense than two small ones in some respects, but as the advert goes "Who wants to be just a cog in a machine.... depends on the machine" and you still need to "Big-up" Final Strike with these guild members, I feel I've done as much as I can at my end, maybe all it needs is time. I don't want to abandon everyone in Golden Legacy if they don't want to leave, they deserve better than that and I value the friendship of some of them far too much to do that without at least talking to them, the same as you value your Guild members. I promise that I am trying my uttermost to keep everyone happy with the changeover in mind. I think you slightly misunderstood my reluctance to leave yesterday, its not case of grabbing as much as I can, I'm just trying to do the right thing for as many people as possible. Personally, I think that if it all goes smoothly I should be able to find an outsider who will be happy with an empty guild and I will push it over to them and come over quite merrily. If not, how about LV being paid on a member-by-member basis? 1000 for the first, 1500 for the second, 2000 for the next, with 2000 for every other one after that? A sort of Agent's fee I suppose, and this should mean that you get sensible experienced players rather than just Newbs. If it gets to 15 people it works out at around the same amount as I think you mentioned for the whole thing (28500 ?), yet again I'm just looking a different possibilities and trying to find a middle ground in all of this, if you and he don't like the idea, fair enough, its for you two to agree together, I don't need to get involved its just a suggestion. If people decide to stay in Golden Legacy, I'm not kicking them out, firstly they won't have actually done anything wrong and secondly there is no reason to assume they will join Final Strike once they are out. It sounded like you have a very good idea about rewards for people joining Final Strike but it probably needs to be something you deal with on a one to one basis. As I said though, I don't feel that I can abandon everyone, not with a clear conscience anyway. If you have the list of member names off of LV, I wonder if it makes sense for you and he to whisper each one individually to convince them you're legit, I don't mind people confirming things with me as well to reassure them, and I hope the Guild Announcement gives them some comfort that this is a good plan too. Maybe we need another contact in Final Strike to cover time we're all offline? Then again, maybe the community in Golden Legacy isn't that strong and LV and I have over-estimated our membership. That's not something I can judge at present. Yet again, Time will Tell. I hope you don't find anything I've done or said disagreeable in all of this, I've already given you my email address to send your own comments to and I look forward to speaking with - and hopefully fighting alongside you - in the future.
